The primary focus of the Haiti Committee is twofold, education and aid.
This ministry exposes the parish to the difficulties faced by the people of our "sister parish," Our Lady of the Nativity in Dame Marie, and help us to realize our Christian duty to help our brothers and sisters.
Several Fundraisers are held during the year with all proceeds going directly to the people of Dame Marie for books, classroom supplies, medicines, food, as well as funding for an educational center.
The generosity of our parishioners and the hard work of the Haiti Committee have made it possible for us to fulfill our Christian obligation to our sister parish.
Help is always needed in this ongoing ministry.
In addition to raising monies, we conduct occasional missionary visits to Haiti.

In the Christian spirit of outreach, parishioners of St. Catherine's can provide a very worthwhile service to those less fortunate in the Morris County area.
We have a network of volunteers that support the Community Soup Kitchen of Morristown, Inc.
Three times a year each participant either cooks a meal for, or serves a meal to the guests that utilize this vital organization.
St. Catherine's share in the ministry is the 2nd Monday of each month (the noontime meal).
This ministry is well suited to allow many levels of involvement from family to single person, and with a schedule that would fit your resources.
Servers meet at St. Catherine's at 10:00am and travel together to Morristown. We return by 2:00pm.
Cooks (or families) can prepare a meal on Sunday and deliver it to the church vestibule on Monday morning.
Another suggestion is to bake cookies and package them as serving sizes in baggies.
To join one of our teams, or for more information, please call Pat Witt, 973-335-1827, or Carol Kennedy, 973-402-1503.
Loaves & Fishes is a service ministry which provides meals for St. Catherine's families that have recently experienced illness, hospitalization, or the birth of a baby.
St. Catherine's parishioners provide home-cooked meals to those in need while they recuperate.
Volunteers in this program usually cook one or two meals in a three month time period.
If you are interested in this ministry, or know of a family in need of meals, please call Amy O'Leary, 973-299-6722
