Vivere Christus Award - Jeanne Clark - The Vivere Christus Award recognizes the contributions of the faithful to the mission of Christ and His Church, and is given to express gratitude and appreciation to those who unselfishly give of themselves. Each parish in the diocese is invited to nominate one person or family every year to receive this award. After receiving our recommendation, Jeanne Clark will receive this Award on Sunday, June 14, at 3:30 pm at St. Philip the Apostle Parish, 797 Valley Rd. Clifton. Family, friends and all parishioners are invited to the ceremony and the light reception that follows at the St. Philip’s parish auditorium. Our parish community offers congratulations and prayers of joy and gratitude to Jeanne.

Sunday June 14 - Anthony Newman, renowned organist, keyboardist, composer and recording artist will be giving a free concert on Sunday June 14 @ 3 p.m. at St. Catherine's Church. As a Bach specialist his career spans 50 years. Please save the date for an afternoon of unforgettable Bach organ music. Reception to follow. Ushers and Altar Servers Needed:A great way to server the Lord. Ushers aged 16 and older, and Altar servers, spring of 4th grade and above, are needed for all weekend Masses. If you can help, please email stcatherine@optonline.net with your name, phone number, email address, and preferred Mass time(s); or call the office 973-334-7131. Training will be provided.
Quo Vadis: Where are you going? - Quo Vadis Discernment Retreat is a time of recreation, fellowship, prayer and discussion for young men ages 15 to 25 to help you explore our Lord’s call in your life. The retreat is free and will be held Wednesday to Friday, July 8-10 at the Sacred Heart Spirituality Center, 20 Old Swartswood Rd in Newton. Moms & Tots - The Moms & Tots playgroup will meet every TUESDAY from 9:30 - 11:00 in the gym. Please join us for free play, a snack and craft each week. If you or a family member cannot attend Sunday Mass due to long-term illness, disabling injury, old age, etc., please be sure to inform the Parish Office 973-334-7131 at your earliest convenience. With this information, Fr. Peter can arrange to visit those who are homebound and bring the Eucharist and celebrate the Sacrament of the Sick.
Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Paterson has a clothing donation box in our parking lot. We welcome the donation of gently used clothing and small household items such as working appliances. Call 1-877-343-3651 if you have any questions or should need a free pick-up of larger quantities of clothes or household items.
