Christmas Pageant - Congratulations and thank you to our children for their joyful and delightful performance in our annual Christmas Pageant. A special thank you to Arlene Somers and Linda Caruccio for their efforts in coordinating this event, to Lynn Alberts and our many parent volunteers and student helpers for their enthusiastic direction of the pageant and to Cesar Hernandez for his hard work behind the scenes.
Poinsettia Plants & Decorations - This year as in the past we would like to continue our beautiful custom of memorializing the Christmas flowers and decorations at St. Catherine’s. If you would like to donate a poinsettia plant in the church for Christmas, you may do so my using the envelopes in the church vestibule or in your envelope packet.
Oplatek, the Bread of Love - The Oplatek is a thin unleavened wafer like the altar bread, stamped with the figures of the God-Child, the Blessed Mary and the holy Angels. It is known as the Bread of Love. We have Oplatek available at the rectory office for those who would like to continue this Christmas custom. A donation would be appreciated to cover the cost.
Saturday/Sunday, December 20-21 - The monthly food collection for Fr. English Center.
Our Parish Library is now open every Wednesday between 11:00-1:00. Come check it out!
Moms & Tots - The Moms & Tots playgroup will meet every TUESDAY from 9:30 - 11:00 in the gym. Please join us for free play, a snack and craft each week. All we ask is that you bring a small donation for the Fr. English food pantry! Please contact Kerrie Boland (973-335-5673 or caulfika@hotmail.com ) with any questions. We look forward to seeing all of our friends!
If you or a family member cannot attend Sunday Mass due to long-term illness, disabling injury, old age, etc., please be sure to inform the Parish Office 973-334-7131 at your earliest convenience. With this information, Fr. Peter can arrange to visit those who are homebound and bring the Eucharist and celebrate the Sacrament of the Sick.
Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Paterson has a clothing donation box in our parking lot. We welcome the donation of gently used clothing and small household items such as working appliances. Call 1-877-343-3651 if you have any questions or should need a free pick-up of larger quantities of clothes or household items.
