Beginning Thursday, February 26th - Adult Faith Formation - Thursday, February 26th and continuing through the Thursdays in March, Sister Bernadette Weller will discuss Matthew Kelly’s, REDISCOVER CATHOLICISM. Gatherings will begin at 10:30 and end at 11:30.
Saturday, February 28th - GRADE 2 Mandatory First Eucharist Retreat - Retreat times:Students whose last names begin with A through K will attend from 10:00am-12:30pm. Students whose last names begin with L through Z will attend from 1:30pm-4:00pm.(Parents are invited to stay.) Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your session and assemble in the Conference Room. Each session will start promptly at the scheduled time.
Beginning Tuesday, March 3 - Adult Faith Formation - Tuesday mornings March 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 10:30 to 11:30 am, Dr. Barry Rankin will lead a discussion series entitled, LIVING WITH GOD IN PRAYER. Dr. Rankin earned his degree in theology at the Angelicum University in Rome.
Saturday March 7 - Lunch with a Leprechaun - Our Lady of the Lakes Knights of Columbus Council #3359 will host Lunch with a Leprechaun from noon to 2:00 pm in the parish center. Details to follow.
March 13 - March 15 - Women's Annual Retreat - Save the Date! The Women’s Annual Retreat will be held March 13, 14 and 15. We are thrilled to have retained as our retreat master, Fr. Jim Termyna. Weekend will include stations of the cross, confessions and Mass all celebrated at the Villa. Cost is $175. Join us for a weekend of prayer, spiritual reflection and friendship! Friday, March 20 - Life Line Screening will be conducting screenings at St. Catherine’s. Stroke, vascular disease, heart rhythm, and osteoporosis screenings are available. Monday March 23 to Wednesday March 25 - St. Catherine's Lenten Mission - A Lenten Mission: The Three Vows of a Benedictine Monk…for Everyone! Weekend assistant, Fr. Edward Seton Fittin, O.S.B. will offer on three consecutive evenings presentations on the three vows of a Benedictine monk, nun or sister: Stability, Obedience and Conversion of Life. How do these vows, which can be adapted by lay men and women, help us live a life more centered on God?
Our Parish Library is now open every Wednesday between 11:00-1:00. Come check it out!
Moms & Tots - The Moms & Tots playgroup will meet every TUESDAY from 9:30 - 11:00 in the gym. Please join us for free play, a snack and craft each week. If you or a family member cannot attend Sunday Mass due to long-term illness, disabling injury, old age, etc., please be sure to inform the Parish Office 973-334-7131 at your earliest convenience. With this information, Fr. Peter can arrange to visit those who are homebound and bring the Eucharist and celebrate the Sacrament of the Sick.
Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Paterson has a clothing donation box in our parking lot. We welcome the donation of gently used clothing and small household items such as working appliances. Call 1-877-343-3651 if you have any questions or should need a free pick-up of larger quantities of clothes or household items.
